Ryan was an amazing brother who in no matter what circumstances always managed to make me smile. ‘Ryan’s Day’ was the perfect way to say goodbye as it was a spectacular day for a spectacular brother.

I had many emotions and thoughts left from that day of which I could only sum up as ‘The Best and Worst Day’ of my life.

By coincidence, I had a chance to write a piece on this immense day in my English lesson when we were set the task to write about anything we wanted relating to the chapel. ‘Ryan’s Day’ seemed the perfect piece given recent events, covering in my view, every conceivable aspect of what it represents and in particular, what a magnificent host it was for a sensitive, emotional ceremony relating to my inspiring brother.
