Description
Clifton College is the place to be this summer. This was never more true than on Sunday 20th May when a great number came to enjoy everything from vintage vehicles to bouncy castles, explore village stalls and experience the beauty and future of engineering.
The atmosphere was lively with displays from prestigious car manufacturers and Classic Car Owners' Clubs of Bentley, Alvis, Morgan, Bristol, Rolls-Royce and Porsche; the real-life Bloodhound supersonic car, a helicopter, radio-controlled cars to race, as well as a competition to build a kit car against the clock. Visitors were even able to explore an aero-engine, get up close to the Starsky & Hutch and Dukes of Hazzard originals, there were vintage and classic cars, at least one tractor, classy campers, car rides around the local area, vintage fashion clothing, music performances by 'The Hot Potato Syncopators' and other local groups, fun stalls, fantastic food and much, much more.
We are delighted and honoured that Clifton College selected 'a Life for a Cure' as one of the four charities to benefit from this exciting day out with something for all the family.
